The severe pain in my neck turned out to be a herniated disc. Darn. It is very frustrating because I can't work as hard as I want to. I just have to take it easy. Bill is very understanding and picks up the slack.
The powder blue, deep lilac and olive green colors covering the hall and kitchen walls were eradicated with Kilz primer. Next week Linen White will bathe the walls and match the living room. We also installed a few new ceiling lights.
Dinner at Oak Creek Market was delicious. We shared beef stew and a tuna melt while enjoying a nice conversation with one of the owners, Daniel. Being their last customers of the day they let us choose a few muffins that didn't sell that day which would be sold the next day as "day old" muffins for half price. A warmed chocolate chip muffin with melting butter made a perfect dessert.
Early Sunday morning we strolled to the creek and watched a flock of ducks floating along with thousands of leaves that have fallen from the trees. The 46 degree water temperature is down 2 degrees from last month.
Have a nice week and take it easy along with me.
Now then! Want to know how M is doing, head to M's blog! ;-) Disc, eh? Sorry to hear! Likely all your cabin work (painting, looking up at ceilings regularly) didn't help. Try any PT yet? Ultrasound, massage, TRACTION are the BEST! If you can find a PT that will lay their hands on you these days. So many seem to have eliminated touching folks AND don't use the "good" machines when appropriate and go STRICTLY for exercises. Which have their place! But not first and only exercises. So, after not quite so acute and someone can touch you, hope you give PT a try. Think there are some good ones in your neck of the woods! (HA!)
ReplyDeleteMiss you! Working full-time still? No wonder you have no "extra" time left to consider DAR. Still - you are missed. Just checking - your PO in Glendale still work? If different, be sure to e' me.
Hugs to you, honey. Rest up and feel better! Do your best at getting over the guilt (not that I'd handle it any better - yikes! - we're the worst patients...).
